my hair is red and kinda short it goes to my collar bone



i usually just put it up or straighten it

You can make it wavy by braiding it while it's still damp and then letting it dry (overnight works best). Thicker or looser braids make more gentle waves (beach hair!), while tighter braids make a more 80s crimped style.

Take a shower before you go to bed, and when your hair is still damp (let it dry a little, you don't want it too wet) put it in braids and sleep with them in. In the morning undo the braids with your fingers, not a brush, or it will get too puffy, and you will have gorgeous looking beachy waves.
