Mens hair style?

so im a guy and i've been thinking about growing out my hair and going for the ';surfer'; look (eventually i'll get pissed off and buzz cut it, but just for kicks i want to grow it out). Are there any other types of hair styles i could try? How do you ladies feel about a short ponytail on a guy?Mens hair style?
as a woman i gotta say that there is SOMETHING HOT about the surfer look on a man.

short pony no unless ya old and into jon wayne ..... get loads of diffent products and play with ya hair mad,sleek,wavy,funky,,spikey just play with it till its at the lengh ya want ..

No pony tails! Some guys can pull off that look but it is very hard to come by a guy that can actually work that look! I would say that the surfer hair is ok on some guys too but again on other guys it just looks messy and gross!
