My hair is overdamaged right now, and needs to be cut
I want something different though, and am decidedly idea-less
I refuse to cut my hair too short however, but want it cute/funky.
I'm asking for cut ideas, for curly hair.
It looks like the picture linked below. And no, I will NOT straighten
it. I like the curl for the most part.

Oooo I like your curls!
Sorry to hear your hair is over damaged. Try a really good conditioner like the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition line of products. That should help with the damage. And just a trim will do- your hair is fantastic at the length it is pictured. Maybe even a bit longer, if you can get it there.
Can you make your hair ';big';? If you can get your curls to poof a little at the top (like use a blow dryer for 3 seconds while your hair is upside down) then this cut would be super cute: http://www.chiggyonline.com/curly-hair/i/a>
Here's another cute one that wouldn't require too much maintenance: http://trendyshorthairstyles.files.wordp/a>

For the really nice looking, modern pretty styles that you see around now, the popular method is to wet set your hair using either velcro or the plastic type of rollers. You can also style your hair in different ways, plus its better for your hair and the curls hold better and last a long time. This yahoo groups has tons of pictures of the latest styles without the spam and links to go through. It takes some patience because there are so many pictures. It might be of help.

Some highlights would look good to kind of brighten your appearance up and just cut a little shorter like maybe to your armpits. Buy a really good conditioner to help the overdamaging. Ask a hair expert like maybe a person at the salon.
Try a little shorter, and maybe a light highlight would look really good, and would take that hum drum look out, The other thing that you might try is thinning the hair instead of cutting.
