Help with curly hair style.?

ive naturally curly/wavy hair that i usually straighten, but im tired of the straight look. i want wear my hair curly but when i put moose and gel and hairspray in it and scrunch it it looks crunchy and wet and gross. please give me any suggestions for a way to make my hair cute and curly.Help with curly hair style.?
I have natural curly hair..It's also long and very thick. I get it cut in long layers and thinned out..Which helps my curls a lot. I have natural curly spiral hair. I also use Pantene Curl Shampoo and Conditioner.They have a whole line from mousse to gel to cream to hairspray. I use to use their color line because my hair was auburn red/brown and ONLY used the RINGLET 07 CURL PERFECTOR-Which is only sold by professional hairstylists. But, my hairstylists business stopped selling it and I switched to the Pantene curl shampoo, conditioner, and cream. People swears I have a spiral perm, but it's ONLY frizz management. I kid you not-my hair would frizz up worse than an afro!!!!!! If my hair wasn't naturally curly, it would be well past my tush. I need my hair trimmed, thinned, and colored because i haven't done it in at least 2 years and it still spirals curly-so much that people swear it's a perm. I'm getting ready to have her thin it out since she's got another place and will be buying my favorite creme which is the REDKEN RINGLET 07. Luckily, I don't have to pay full price and get it from her wholesale-half price..BUT, If you live near a Super Walmart..they usually have a buy 1 get half off deal on it and If you live where there is a Beauty school..They sell products a bit cheaper. Believe me-the Ringlet 07 can stand alone, but it helps to have the long layers and thinning if your hair is as thick as mine. The ONLY time I get headaches is when my hair gets too thick and it's time for a cut/thin/layer/color job asap..lol AWAYS AIR DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cream and go..it won't take long to dry and it's non sticky so you won't have to worry about that crunchy look with the Pantene line or Ringlet 07..Being summer-I will pull my bangs back or half or even a very high pony tail..my hair is so long that it still hangs like a bob from the thickness of the pony tail.

you could use a curling iron





or...if you want...you could get your hair permed so that it will dry really curly...plus even with a perm, you can straighten every once in a while if you want





I got my hair permed and it is really helpful when I am running late because it dries really curly!!!

did you put mousse in your hair when it was wet or dry?when you put it in dry hair it goes hard and does not sit right,but if you put it in when your hair is wet and then dry it tyhen it should look natural but also tamed..Or you could try frizz ease shampoo it will keep the curls but will stop the frizz and mad look..hope it was helpfull!!!.
Leave your hair in pigtails over night, (french braids are preferred). But if you want an actual product (which i would reccomend):

Now, I don't know if this will work for you but i have very thick red curly hair and lately, after i take a shower i braid my whole entire head, and sleep on it when i wake up i run conditioner over the braids and some products and when i take it out i get perfect curls, sometimes i even leaves the braids in which look pretty cool. hope this helps, GOODLUCK! =D
I have wavy hair too and in the summer time I'm just too lazy to take the time ti straighten it. So i've been using an Aveda product called Be Curly. That helps bring out my natural curl and it does not leave my hair crunchy! I just put some in when my hair is damp and i'm ready go for the day.
I have naturally straight hair with alittle bit of wave. What works for me is alittle bit of hairspray all around and then use a high heat hair straightner. If I write it out it will sound confussing so here..lol

Lol i have red curly hair too!! ha ha but seriously all i do with my hair, which is really thick, is after i get out of the shower i dry my hair a little bit than just put plain conditioner in it. some times i add a little gel but conditioner works just fine for me!!
Wash your hair at night and braid it into four french braids and let it set overnight. When you wake up it should be dry. Undo the braids and you should have a curly wavy look. Headbands and Bandannas look great with this hairstyle.
