At present i have a centre parting but would like a change I am thinking of having my hair at a side parting with a fringe going across my forehead. i ahve tried practicing at home but it looks crap, I just wanted to know if anyone has changed their hair to this syle and if it looked nice or not?Thinking of different hair style?

i think it depends on your face shape, my face is quite round and had a middle parting for years with the crap hairstyle. i then went for a ';trim'; and was told by the hairdresser that my hair was very ';80's'; so she cut it into a shoulder length bob with a middle parting and everyone said it looked alot better-well it would have from my 80's horror, but give it a go, go to your hairdresser they should tell you what style will suit you, good luck
I changed my hair from a middle part to a part to the side and it worked fine for me...but i had the hair stylist help out i went in for a cut and told her that i would like to try that way and she cut my hair to help it. I liked it, but i had help with my change.

try different hairstyles like braiding on the side and combing the rest to fall back towards the ear. or you can chop it up to b shorter..girl there r loads you can do.!!!
the best way to train your hair for a new part is to part it where you want it and pull it into a fairly tight pony tail. it will take about a week or so for you hair to start falling that way. good luck!

It is really hard to change a natural part. They will be able to do it at the salon but I'd bet you wont be able to duplicate it at home.
if you are straight go curly and vice versa that is an immediate change
Well i think you should ask a proffessional because if you try doing something to your hair what will happen is you will just moan about the new look. So ask someone first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had exactly the same thing done about a week ago. I wasn't sure about it but now i LOVE it...remember, if you don't like it, it wont take very long to grow out, just make sure you get quite a long fringe. Good luck :D

I am a 15 year old guy, and right now i have longish hair, it covers most of my ears and could cover my eyes if i pushed it down (i push it to the side). I think i want to get a hair cut that will make me look good, but i want the length to me short-medium. Do you have any suggestions? What's a different hair style 2 try, round face, no shorter than my shoulders, frizzy & wavy hair?
i have a round face and i have found that having a fringe cut that is the length of up to the middle of your nose then sweeping it sideways helps. this is because at the side of your eyes where it goes out more, this is where your face looks rounder so if you cut you fringe like this when it is swept over it covers this part but not ur eyes making you face look thinner. shoulder lenght hair is probably best and keep you hair wavy and try and volumise it with hairspray to make your face appear smaller

Okay, one thing you can do is give it a wave!:
1. Grab a large curling iron.
2. Make sure hair is dry. (It's even better if your hair is kinda dirty!)
3. Take a large lock of hair and curl from bottom to top, making sure you're not just curling one spot.
4. Continue with the rest of hair, not making it super curly, just giving it a curl at the bottom.
5. Mess it up, move fingers through hair and shake.
6. Spray a good hairspray to make it stay.

That's what I did when my hair was cut like that, I curled the thin part, and I put the thicker part up. It was pretty. :D
Get on the internet or look at magazines of different up to date hairstyles. Or find a celebrities hair that you like and try to copy it. Just make sure that whatever you chose, works for your face shape and hair type. You want to chose something that works for your time schedule too. You don't want to do something that requires a lot of time if you don't have it. Your hair sounds pretty though. I have medium hair with layers I love it cause i can do so many different things with it.
Okay, one thing you can do is give it a wave!:
1. Grab a large curling iron.
2. Make sure hair is dry. (It's even better if your hair is kinda dirty!)
3. Take a large lock of hair and curl from bottom to top, making sure you're not just curling one spot.
4. Continue with the rest of hair, not making it super curly, just giving it a curl at the bottom.
5. Mess it up, move fingers through hair and shake.
6. Spray a good hairspray to make it stay.
7. Voila! Make sure you get compliments!I need a different hair style?

Different hair styles...?
I have short hair (currently growing it out!) and it is at the stage where it is too long that it is ugly when it is left alone, and too short to put it in a plain ponytail. I have VERY thick hair. It is currently about two inches longer than my chin, and I have a short chunk of hair (hairdresser mistake) that I am currently trying to grow out also. The short chunk is about a half of an inch shorter that my chin. Could someone give me a few styles (other than a half-ponytail) that I could use to go to school, to the movies, etc. that don't require further cutting or massive amounts of hair gel. I don't like emo looks either.

for short hair, i think it looks really cute when the tips are curled outwards. with pulling it up, if its long enough you could get just the parts above your ears up and clip it back with a hair clip. if not, use bobby pins :)

You cannot buy the original SCIII character's hair (but usually something close to it)...
and IIRC, you must progress through tale of soul (i forgot what its called, the story mode basically). to either unlock the hair or unlock it in the store for purchase (i believe its the latter). finish the whole thing to be able to buy everything.

And my name is really Alice, not copying Twilight or anything. But I've been looking at some hair cuts and was wondering which one is best? I have medium length (about my shoulders) dirty blonde hair that is naturally wavy and has some weird kinks to it. It's also about medium thick, although it doesn't really look that thick. I also have side bangs, although I'm fine with wearing them another way if I can find a way to do that. I would leave your hair the color that it currently is for the summer, since the sun will lighten whatever color you may have. For the haircut, long is in, so I would keep it long but add more layers and some side-swept, angeled bangs. I just got a similar haircut to the 1st picture below and I love it! Its so versatile, and depending on how I style it, it can be classy and tame, or edgy and wild.

Okay so I have curly hair. I love straightening my hair! So normally I wash my hair in the morning, put heat protection spray on my hair, blow dry it, straighten it, put this stuff on my hair and make it smell GREAt and make it nice and healthy, and then for the finishing touch some hairspray to make it shine and stay straight. It stays straight the entire day but I don't want to do all that EVERY day because I don't want to damage my hair. I don't really like my hair curly because it poofs and frizzes. Shorter looks better on you even though you can pull off the long hair too!! You should go for a little more of the messy look since your hair is already curly. Don't flatten it down on the top. ;)

What are different hair styles for girls with curly hair?
It's weird to say that I've never cut my hair before (though it's occasionally been trimmed). My hair is really long (like past my butt) and ridiculously curly. And I'm sick of it. I have a hair appointment today to get my hair cut, but my father won't let me use any type of chemical to straighten/dye/etc my hair. So it has to stay curly.
Do you have any suggestions for different styles of curly hair? I plan on making it short or medium length. Pictures would be nice. I would also prefer this hair style is LOW MAINTENANCE because I really don't have time or patience to deal with my hair for more than 20-30 minutes a morning.What are different hair styles for girls with curly hair?

What you don't want is a blunt cut, which means a ton of fullness on the bottom -- a very dated look. I'd say oblong, Do not stray to far from a dark color, try adding some auburn - dark brown with tint or hint of red but a really dark so at a distance it would look like black until the light hits it.And then it would look like a dark reddish brown. I'D have to go to shoppers drugmart to find the proper name for the color Im taking about. if you try smilling not to many of us guys are going to notice your hair, After all you do have a really nice figure.(Pics Included) Different Hair Styles? :) x?
ummm i think you should just get your bangs trimmed and add some layers and highlights. try curling your hair in tight ringlets(: im betting it will look really pretty and match your face shape (which is oval, you got it!) p.s., you are really pretty! (no homo)

some more layers in your hair also, since you cant do to much that will help, plus when you put it in a pony tail it wil also look nicer. you can blow out your hair so it isnt pin straight, more of a blown out look. obviously lol. for makeup, just use mascara and some bronzer or blush since your mom wont let you wear much. also you can buy a tinted chapstick. as for the smiling and posing techniqes, just smile, dont give a straight face too often you will look like a mean person, just pose natural, dont pucker your lips or pose or anything it looks fake and gives off a bad impression. good luck :)

Since your hair is kinda long you should get a but cut off and then go with a messy look. You can use the gel you were talking about it but then mess with your hair. Messy but clean look is hot! :)

My hairs jet black, and pretty thick, and has a lot of volume. It's pretty spiky as well. A bit like how Harry Potters' hair is described in the book hehe.

Different hair styles for someone with long straight hair ?
So, I was wondering if anyone knows of different every-day hair styles for my long straight hair ? All I really do is leave it down, put it up in a pony tail, put it up in pig-tails, or braid it. I never do anything else and I think that these are getting boring. Have any ideas for casual styles?
Also, I cannot curl my hair. I tried using a curling iron, and it didn't work, it became all messed up and NOT RIGHT. I also tried using curlers, which also didn't work. i have fairly long hair. it comes down almost to the middle of my back. it's layered and my bangs are grown out. it's kinda dark brown with natural light brown highlights in it. usally i just wear it down and straight. i really want to try different styles but i don't know what to do with it. any suggestions? my hair is very boring now. thanks:)Different hair styles to try????
In my opinion, I think you should shorten it just a bit, maybe to your shoulders and keep it layered. If your bangs are grown out you can trim them, but if you want to try a completely different style, try curling it or creating waves, it'll give you that California girl look with out looking plastic. =]Different hair styles to try????

That's all it takes is practice. Try looking up how to style your hair online. There are usually you tube videos posted for step by step instructions and plenty of websites that have pictures. I would give you more info but I don't know what kind of hair you have.

What exactly do you mean they have a new style everyday? The girls at my school pretty much pin their bangs back, add a bow. (: I straighten my hair everyday, and I change it up a bit sometimes. Some styles arent for everyone. You need to tweak it so it works for you. Here are some of the styles ive messed with. (:
take a section of hair, put it in a pony to the side, and add a ribbon.

It's all about what sort of hair you have and how well you understand it. For example, my hair will not straighten and i have learnt it is pointless so i now always have it natural/curly. Experiment. Xx

I'm not sure what your hair type is, but I've had long kinda wavy hair for awhile and here are a few things that I have done:

Scrunch it!
Wet your hair, then towel dry. Then put some gel on your hair and scrunch. For more defined curls put the gel on your finger and wrap hair around that finger and do it for separate parts all over your head. Whatever technique you use, hairspray like there is no tomorrow ALL over your hair. The best thing about curls is that if you feel them getting limp throughout the day just dry scrunch your hair a couple times.
Buns!
Put your hair in a pony, hairspray it. Then twist hair like, around the ponytail holder and put on another few hair ties. Hairspray again, if there are any lose hairs pin back and hairspray yet again.
To do a messy do the same thing but don't twist it at hard, don't hairspray it as much and don't pin back lose hairs.
Tease!
How to tease:
All you do to accomplish a mad tease is, hairspray a fine tooth comb. Then take the desired hair you wish to be teased and lift it up. Then take the hair sprayed comb and backcomb that hair. Hairspray and let go. Repeat all through hair in need of a tease. Now, take all the teased hair and lightly comb down- only a little or it will go back to your regular hair! Take the bottoms of your hair and flat iron. Hairspray to finalize!
Half up half down!
Take have of you hair and put it into a ponytail or bun and leave the other half down. You can curl or straighten the part that is down, hairspray to finalize!
